Hi
I started working last July 09, and when I started working it was part time position so sometimes I worked less than 30 hours per week and sometimes more then that.
And from September I worked as full time (more then 30h/week)..
In this situation when I accumulate the hours I worked so far.. Can I add extra hours of my full time?
For example I worked 35h/week then can I add these 5hours to my hours?? Or should I just put only 30h?

And should I wait until September to apply because it is one year from September or can I apply August which is pass over July when I started first??

I'm so frustrated about consistently changing law....
Do you guys think the cap(200) will be full by the time I apply which will be around september?

The tricky part to me is what CEC means when they say that part time work can count as long as it is equal to full time work. Do they mean it is equal on a weekly basis? That is, you have two part time jobs and each week you work at least 30 hours PER WEEK. Or do they mean over the course of the 12 months? That is, over the course of 12 months, through your multiple part time work, you have accumulated 1,440 hours.

That part is tricky.

Someone should answer that before anyone can give you advice.

You need 1950hrs of work experience which is equivalent to 37.5hours X 52weeks
your HR can give you the latest hours update that you accumulated.
if you work less hours than 37.5 per week, then you must wait until your accumulation reach to 1950hrs.

30 hours+ a week is considered as full time work experiencs.

30x52= 1664 hours in one year

The 37.5 hour week was the old standard, for applications on or before January 1, 2013. The current standard is 30 hours.

The current guidelines are in the manual, OP 25a: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op25a-eng.pdf. Section "Full-time work".

Basically, if you work a combined 30 hours or more across all your jobs, that is a full-time week. If a week is fewer than 30 hours, then divide it by 30 to get the amount of full-time weeks (e.g. a 24-hour week is 0.8 full-time weeks). Your target is 52 or more full-time weeks.

If your full-time job has a different work pattern, i.e. you work crazy long shifts one week and take the next week off, then apparently this is taken into consideration as well. The most important thing is that you can't gain "12 months" of experience in fewer than 12 months.

Oh and 30 hours/week x 52 weeks = 1,560 hours.
