I haven't heard anything and I will be very interested in reading about this. What's your source?

Below is the info from CIC, as per OB572, updated in April:

Summary

Effective May 1, 2014, a maximum of 25,500 new Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications without an offer of arranged employment (including 500 applications in the PhD student/graduate stream), 5,000 new Federal Skilled Trades (FST) applications, and 8,000 new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications will be considered for processing for the period of May 1, 2014, until April 30, 2015, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction. Applications must be completeFootnote 1 and included within the caps set for each program to be considered for processing.

it actually states "unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction"

It means Express Entry program will supersede this existing instruction.

Agreed on that one, it clearly states that, but I thought that the EE basic info was already out by then, right?

If not, it sure does take precedence.

This is old news. Unfortunately, the cap will be reached way before April 30, 2015.

This info on the CEC class webpage is more recent - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

Note: As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 8,000 for new Canadian Experience Class applications. There are also sub-caps of 200 for each National Occupational Classification B applications. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.
