I graduated from a Canadian University in 2014. My Exams finished Mid April 2014, and i started a full time Job on 28 April in my career field(NOC Code same as education achieved) as a permanent job. I got my PGWP on june 16 2014( right after my convocation on june 14 2014). When does the actual 1 year experience start from, April 28 2014? or June 16 2014? as i was working after i completed my studies from April 28 and i had seen my unofficial transcript clearing/passing me from all the courses that i took in the last semester before i started my full time job on April 28 2014.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone,

Can anyone help me out for this... I am currently working on a post-graduate work permit in Canada, it does not have LMO or LMIA will it still be counted as a valid job offer to give me 600 points?

Thank you

If my employer get the LMO, will that work?

Moreover, If I wait to finish 1 year on my PGWP for this job without LMO, will it be counted towards CEC?

1. No, without LMIA/LMO, you will not get 600 points. You don't need it to start working (Because you have PGWP) or be qualified to get into pool under CEC. Those time will be counted in CEC. You just don't get the magical points.

2. You employer can apply LMIA for you and if successful, you will get 600 points. Mind you, getting it isn't an easy task.

Also, would i qualify if i for some reason i am laid off as of tomorrow and do not find a job until June 16 but have more than 1560 hours already as of last year at June 16.

This is because i work more than 45 hrs/week and already have accumulated that threshold, however not physically completed the 12 month mark.

Any sources justifying this would be much appreciated as well.

No - you won't qualify. You need a minimum of 12 months of work (in addition to at least 1560 hours).

You have to satisfy BOTH 1 calendar year and 1560 hrs of work. You aren't qualify in CEC until the 1 year mark has pass (Which is Jun 16 for you)
