Hi,
As understand when declared as Common-law, we are needed to provide the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union form in front of the Notary Public or Commission of Oath.
However, situation is that I am already in Canada working over a year on work permit and applying PR with CEC. While my partner is back in Malaysia He is not accompanying for now due to various reasons.
I have indicated Non Accompanying Common Law in my Express Entry and received my ITA.
Question:
1) Can I get the Statutory Declaration signed without my partner signature?
2) Or can it be 2 different set of Statutory Declaration form where one is signed in Canada with my signature only and another signed in Malaysia with his signature only?
3) Or should it be applicable for virtual video conference during the signing with the Notary and signed the letter in front (virtually) then scan and email over to the Notary office then print and I sign there?
Please advise, as I am in a pinch now with my ITA submission less than 18 more days to go.
Appreciate the feedback.
Thank you.
