You don't qualify for a BOWP since you are no longer holding a valid work permit.
You have two option for starting to work again. One is to secure a job offer + approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit. The other is to wait until you have PR.
Thank you! Was I supposed to submit the BOWP apllication even I didn't get drawn so that I can delay the expiration date?
No. You only qualify for a BOWP if you receive ITA and have submitted a complete application.
No, you can only do that once you have submitted a full application and received AOR. Of course for that, you would have had to be selected in one of the draws and receive ITA.
Profile --> ITA --> Submit Full Application --> AOR --> Apply for BOWP (given your current WP is still valid and due to expire within 4 months)
