Hello!

I was wondering if the actual caps shown: 4537/8000 reflect the total number of applications received or only those who pass the initial stage, given their AOR.

Does anyone know?

I suspect they show the AORs issued, so then it got me thinking...

Those 4537 are up to what date exactly?
Is there any way we could know approximately?

I would like to leave a "buffer" (2 weeks lets say) before applying, so that might make a difference after all.

In less than a week the 1year requirement will be fullfilled, but the possible "buffer" would push me to mid-December

That means "4537" applications have been received and AOR is generated . Lot of them already PR

Thank you!

So that means that all of August applicants are included, and some of the September as well?

Is there any way of knowing which month's applications they are currently processing?

From CIC website (Federal Skilled Workers category but the same idea as CEC I guess)

Due to the large number of applications we get, we cannot check that each one is complete on the same day it gets to the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but are only a guide. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it gets to the Centralized Intake Office.

It means that cap number is a number of complete application received by CEC (not those which received AOR).

I found information from CEC some time ago but don't remember where. it was written that:

If the application is accepted at first and than the candidate is rejected because of some reason, the cap number stays the same. It won't be reduced by the number of application declined during the process.
The cap shows only complete applications accepted right after they come to Sidney.
