If so, please share your valuable experience. Appreciate your help.

Your reply’s are much appreciated.
Thanks

I used two NOC codes (2171 and 2174) for same year.
Currently my status is that i am waiting for passport request.

As long as you have 2 work permits with 2 different designation printed on your WP, you can use.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and come under the same situation.

Currently I am working as a Marketing coordinator (NOC 1123) full time position and also working in a retail store (gas station) as a merchandising supervisor (part time). I've been working as a Marketing coordinator since July 1st and based on that I've almost 6 months of experience by the end of December.

My manager from retail store offered me a full time assistant manager position (NOC 0621) starting from January with a good pay ($23) and I was wondering if I leave my current job and take the full time position at retail store, will it be affected to my cec experience(or application) when I will be applying for my permanent residence 7 months from now. As I heard its a managerial position, they might not accept my 7 months of experience as an Assistant manager.

Or should it be okay with my two job experience?
July to dec - Marketing coordinator (6 months)
Jan to july - Assistant manager - retail (7 months)

FYI: Ive been working at the retail store from last 2.5 years, so I think I have had enough experience to get the assistant manager position.

Please recommend me with some good advices and your thoughts will be much appreciated.

Thanks ,

Your friend

I think what he was referring to was a closed WP and a LMO.

Since you are on an open work permit, that will not apply to you. 0212 is NOC 0 and 1122 is NOC A, so there are no sub caps for these NOC's. You can use both NOC's in your application, but you will need reference letters for both jobs.

I used 2 NOC codes in the same category.
4166(8 months) & 4033(4 months)

I got my FN on Feb. 27. Now I am waiting for my passport to be sent back from CIC (sent on Nov. 7).

I believe as long as your work experience is real and it makes sense, there should be no problem.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your reply.

The reason I used 2 noc codes is because my JD is not close enough to any NOC listed.

I contacted HR Canada and they suggested me the two codes, asked me to pick one.

Then I hired immigration consultant and even they suggested there is no harm in use both the codes.... and finally i decided to use both codes.

I don’t know what my chances are as my WP is expiring in April 13th 2015.

One more question - I am travelling to India in the month of Jan due to some family issues... do you think there will be any problem while coming back as my visa will expiry at April..... BTW I am coming back in FEB.

Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.

Much appreciated.

Thanks

Oh did you mean use two NOC codes for the same job? No you cannot do that. You will need to pick one NOC whose lead responsibilities more closely match your duties.

With respect to your travel to India, you should be fine if you return before your Work Visa expiry on your passport.

Unfortunately, the NOC system has its limitations.... There's no harm in including a letter of explanation about how your job duties don't fit well with a single NOC, but have some aspects of two NOCs (as long as both are skilled). That's better than just applying
with one NOC, knowing you could be refused because the job duties only partially match...

What Jes_ON suggest above ^ might be better and is a good recommendation, if your duties don't perfectly match one NOC.

Presumably, you're referring to two different jobs : ) So of course you would use different NOCs. And yes, in the CEC program, you can combine your experience in two or more qualifying jobs.

Just note that at the moment, bookkeeper is one of the small number of excluded occupations -

Hi All

I am looking for your help on getting your roles and responsibilities letter and SCHEDULE 8 Economic Classes - CEC as sample.
This will help me to rectify my roles and responsibilities letter or any suggestions from your side is welcomed.

I have got my application returned by Canada Immigration with a letter highlighting NOC 2171.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CEC highlighted item Details 3: Application evaluating officer has only highlighted NOC 2171 with no details.
I don't know what officer is looking from me.

Problem 3:
I lived in Canada for two years.
2nd YEAR - 2171 - IT Consultant -- 2171 NOC is highlighted by officer, also they have given no reason or explanation regarding what is needed
1st YEAR - 2174 - Interactive Media Programmer and Developer.

My roles and responsibilities letter issued by my supervisor on company letter head.
It has role of "IT Consultant" with roles and responsibilities (I think this is more likely near to NOC 2174 "Interactive Media Programmer and Developer")

Solution 3: I am thinking to provide below additional documents.
1) Company provided document which I got when Canada WP was applied for me. (as per Interactive Media Programmer and Developer role).
2) Company provided document which I got when Canada WP renewal was applied for me. (as per IT consultant role).
3) Letter from my manager -- where salary, designation, hours, role and responsibilities is listed. -- This is very difficult to be re-issued from company.

Thanks and Regards,
