CEC applicant + New passport+ Bridge work permit

Hi everyone,

I had applied for CEC in May 2014 and my passport was due to expire so i got it renewed, now my CEC application is still in review and I have not even received medical request. My work permit will expire on May 25th which means I am eligible to apply for a bridge permit. Will there be any problem if I apply with new passport now because it has a new number and expiry date and they have the old one on my profile?

Do i have to update CPC Ottawa for my new passport?

Hi,
yes, you have to update your new passport. Scan it and send by email to CPC Ottawa.
After that apply for the BOWP straight away .

Can you please confirm how much papers needs to be scan ?? e-mail Id where to send ?? and please also advise do we need to mail them as well ??

A copy of the info page is enough (the page with the photo). Sent the scanned copy of that page by email to:

CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca
Also don't forget to add
Last name:
First name:
Date of birth:
UCI:
Application No.:
Type of Application: CEC

It's not necessary to send all these by mail.
