Good Morning,

My name is Lucas, I'm from Argentine, and I'm 20 years old.

I am planning to apply in a Work and Travel program from my country which would give me a valid work permit for one year, and a one year visa.

I'm planning to immigrate to Canada and that seems to be a way to start. I am an electro-mechanical and electronics technician, since i graduated from a Technical Secondary School, and I've been working in an international company of electronics in Argentine, for over a year (Part-time).

I've been researching and i could, if i get a NOC A or NOC B job, trough my Work & Travel program, apply for the CEC program.

Well, I was hoping if you could give me an advice or useful data.

Thanks in advance, :)

Lucas.

you need to work atleast one year inorder to be eligible.
If you have a 1 year visa it will be tight as you have to start working from the first day till the last (more than 30 hrs per week) paid.
I think its very hard as its not advisable to file for CEC after working like that (exact one year)

moreover, I am in the same field as you are (electro-mechanical technician) and trust me, its really hard to find a job.. about 40% of my classmates are still searching for a job since a year..
you might be able to find something related but chances are that it might fall under Skill C or D (few of my friend's story)

Inorder to be eligible, you must have Skill 0, A or B
Skill B is the most appropriate job for us but its hard to find one..

Well, actually, i guess the demand would change in different provinces, so that's relative.
I was planning to go to Toronto, since i can only choose in between Toronto and Vancouver for that program, also i was thinking of applying to jobs from here, to gain some time.

Btw, thanks for your repply :)
