Hi,

This is my first post and my situation is a bit complicated

I have applied for PR through CEC. I am awaiting my AOR, and my PGWP is about to expire. I have applied for a bridging visa and to my understanding that will give me implied status to continue working while I await the decision on my CEC application. I wrote a letter explaining my circumstances and submitted that with my work permit application.

Where it gets confusing is that I got a study permit to make sure I did not loose my status to stay in the country. Does this make me ineligible for a work permit extension? Must I stop working as soon as my work permit expires? My new study permit and my PGWP overlap. Any help or clarification would be appreciated!!

If I'm not mistaken, your PGWP becomes invalid when you get a new visa, ie. a study permit or other work permit.

I think one can hold a work permit and a study permit at the same time. That is not a problem.

usually BOWP is applied 4 months before PGWP Expiry

call CIC Call center right away or consult a lawyer because as per my knowledge you cant have two permits at the same time. So talk to CIC Call center and ask them r
