Please tell me from which date processing of 12 months time period starts under CEC, from date of receiving file or from date of receiving AOR (file number ).

As per the website the start date would be the date on which CIC received your file, but there is no gaurantee that your file will be processed within the 12 month timeline. It differs from case to case and I have seen applicants from 2013 still waiting for PR approvals!!!

Can anyone post the link which say the processing time counts from the date of receiving file ...........

A guy I work with called CIC and was told its from when it is received at Ottawa,he applied in May like I did,yet his application was only forwarded to Ottawa in December.
I know my application was at Ottawa before then as I had an RCMP request back in June.

But we all know how the CIC miss information line works,some people get told one thing,while others are told the opposite.
