Hey Guys,

I started working for my employer on June 5th 2023, during this I took 4 weeks paid vacation to visit my home country. Will there be an issue if I complete my express entry profile with one year completed experience or do I need to wait till July 5th 2024 and then submit to account for the 4 weeks paid vacation out of country?

July 5th is just a few days away... I would wait if I were you. Just my two cents.

There are a lot of rumours that paid vacation doesn't count for experience, but based on my practice it's nonsense. Vacations count as well as weekends, days off and so on.

If you want to play it safe, just wait.

Thank you guys! Yea, that's what I was reading as well and to make sure to submit the application after 5th July. I was hoping to get an ITA as there's likely going to be a draw before the end of this week. Guess it's better to just play it safe rather than risk and waste a few extra months.
