Casher Check or other modes of Fee - IMP (BOA and michigan banks)

Just checked with Bank of America and they say they dont issue cashier's check in their branch.
I have seen somebody in the forum saying they have used BOA for issueing check.

What kind of check was it and what is the process to get the same.
Also suggest other banks in michigan.

phone their callcenter and ask for international draft. I got mine from what used to be wachovia.

Just visted 2 banks Chase and BofA.
Both of them advised me to use AMEX foreign draft services (which is closed on saturday)
BOA chanrges $25
Chase $45 ( i have my accts with them)

This is confusing ... nobody seems to understand the concept of foreign bank draft or international draft.

And one more thing, they are not sure how long is it going to take to get the draft.

Dont visit the bank. Look at your debit card. There should be a phone number there. Call that number.

This is what I did. I called that number and told them that I need one of those checks in CAD and they understood. I did kind of say it might be called international money order, international draft, etc but they got it very quick.

if they say they can't do it. Then ask them, how do people buy items from Canada if they can't pay using a card. There must be a process.

Mine took one day. I ordered on a monday, it came by DHL the next day

twicw the call center guys told me to go to the branch...

I will use the amex travel services to get a draft
