What are the requirments of a caregiver that is already here in canada. My work is food and beverage server and i am applying for a caregiver i met in our group. Thank you

The requirements / criteria are the same regardless whether the caregiver is located in Canada or outside of Canada.

1. Do you have a 6-month formal training on caregiving with certificate?

2. Do you have a one to two years employed experience as a nanny?

3. Do you have at least an educational attaintment equivalent to secondary school program of Canada?

This are the vital requirement for an applicant to be considered aside from a valid LMIA of prospective employer.

Cross the bridge to find out if you will get there...brace yourself of whatever credentials you have related to the requirements undergoing LCP. Hopefully the immigration officer will consider you since you are here already as additional edge.

As an additional credentials if allowed to a foreign worker like you, explore taking courses related to caregiving if you still have time to do such.

Hi, I'm new here... I'm a Filipino Registered nurse passed NLE Dec. 2012 but never had worked nor voluntered in a hospital...my employer is now processing for LMO. I just want to ask if:

(a) I still have to undergo 6 months caregiver training and pass NCII to qualify under LIC?
(b) Do I still have time if I will take caregiving course while my employer is processing for LMO?

I hope you have answers to my querries...Thanks!
