If you are sponsoring your husband for Permanent Resident status, he will be able to work anywhere in Canada when his application is approved.

If your husband is already in Canada you apply for Open Work Permit at the same time you file the Permanent Resident application.
He would receive permission to work after 4 months, while the PR application continues to be processed.

Once he is eligible and possesses a SIN he can work. To get a SIN, he either:
- needs to complete the PR application process witb a positive result, or

- if he applied inland in the Spouse, Common-Law or conjigal partner in Canada class, he can tender an OWP applicaton at any time. It is best sent with the PR application, but can ne sent any time after the PA has an application number (F000xxxxxx).

He is outland and we applied for full sponsorship and yes he has a F000 number :-)
Thank you for all the good information.
