Usually medical pass notification arrives 1 day after the actual status change, so when you get the mail and open your profile you see nothing new

-Message No. 2-- 5th July,2017--Application for permanent residence

On 21st July,2017 I gor a mail saying:

When I check my CIC account.I can see only the above 2 messages .There is no message to be found dated 21st or 22nd July (i.e the day I got a notification on email)

Yes, I have sent an upfront medical report along with my application itself. But I have not got any mail regarding it even till today.

Can you advise what is the helpline mail id/phone no. I am from India.

They dont send you a message in your profile when you pass medical. You just open your profile and look at the table.
Table initially says:
application status: we are processing ....
Medical exam: you dont need medical .....
Biometrics: you dont need .....
Interview: you dont need .....
Background check: Not applicable
Etc
Now when an officer has reviewed your upfront medical, the table will show
Medical exam: you passed the medical exam
Background check: your application is in progress.....
--------
From now on you dont get messages in your profile, you just look at changes in the table in the background section after passing the medicals

Default background check status after AOR is not applicable
After passing the medical it usually changes to your application is in progress we will send you a message when we start your background check, thats referred to `IP1 stage here in the forums. Thats when they start r10 completeness check and criminality
Then it changes back to Not Applicable , thats when they do full check of your papers etc
Then final stage is when they send it to local visa office and it will say we are processing your background check, we call it in forum IP2.
Usually PPR ( passport request for visa stamping) comes soon after IP2

@GargiS
I explained the answer of your question here

Thanks. I cleared my Meds on 8th July but I haven't seen any change in my Background check status - its remains the same , ie, Not Applicable.
In fact received an additional document request on 26th July which I provided them yesterday. Not sure what timelines to estimate from this. Any clues??

Hi Dr.Feras,

Appreciate your reply.I just checked my status. Its showing as:

a)
-Medical: “You passed the medical exam”……..i.e. as per you mentioned.
So does it mean that this what changed on 21st July notification but no mail was sent? Basically, this question is my main concern, as I want to make sure that I have not missed any important info inadvertently.

-Background is: “Not applicable”……..NOT as per you mentioned: “your application is in progress”…..what does this apply?

b)
I have a related question regarding background check. Its that :
Last week my office address changed from one location (mentioned in the reference letter) to another. Though the employer remains the same.

-Does it need to be informed to CIC ? If yes then where and how to inform it.

Asking because my AOR acknowledgement letter gives a link which leads to an online form where updates need to be informed. But it does not give any option related to the information which I want to update.

The nearest option is : Change in Contact Information.

-And what document do I need to substantiate it?

Pls advise.

A: yes the email notification was for this.

A: if you passed your medical on 21st july, then you probably already finished IP1 stage and prpbably didnt notice. Meaning you passed r10 check and criminality.

A: no, you do not need to inform them about change in company address. They want to know about changes in personal contact address of you, change in marital status, adding new baby etc. The only time where your job info matters is if you work in canada because that obviosly will impact your application in terms of eligibility under certain streams like CEC. For us FSW applicants its not of any value after AOR.

Pls advise.

Thanks again Dr.Feras!.....your knowledge is really helpful.

1)

-How does one come to know whether one is in a particular stage or passed it successfully?

2)
Regarding my question related to change of office address should be updated or not.......well, pls look at the exact wording in quotes used in the IRCC web forms:

"You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests. If you are reporting a change in contact information, it will take 5 business days for it to be updated. During this time you should continue to monitor your old contact information."

This s what makes me a bit unsure whether to inform them or not.

3)
Also pls advise regarding that I am a bachelor since the time I filed my e-apr on 5th July,2017 .But in the process getting married so have e few queries on that.Would you like me to post then as separate post (for everyone's benefit ) or would you like to take it up here itself.

Thanks & Regards

Like it changes from ip1 back to NA on same day for some applicants

Yes, perhaps I missed when that changed. In fact today my BC has changed to "We are processing your background check , we will send you a message if we need more information". Guess it must be IP2 ??? If yes, what's the general waiting time between IP2 to PPR ?
