Cannot wait anymore I am going to have heart attack, every time I wake up I chick my email, I chick every 10 mints, I said to myself ok it ll be there soon.

if my wife next to me I do not care, but when our lives both stops for just CIC officer to said his words, it is too much, cannot take it,

I need normal life, with my wife when I wake up, I need to back to my house, the one I worked hard to have it, cannot wait :((( , I need my life to be normal is that to much for CIC officer, they should be different way than this stupid process, they should be more understanding,

I feelllll so much down, :'(

I hear you. I am a newlywed and still have not seen my husband in over 250 days. There is something seriously wrong with that. :(

Hold on man, hold on...

Be strong, it's gonna come your way, just gotta hold on. I know how shitty it can be, and I'll prolly gonna be like that soon [again....], so I hear ya, but then again be strong and hold yourselves together

Peace

I hear you Yaya Marei. This is the most frustating process ever...even if your spouse is with you. The total lack of communication with the VOs seems to make it even worse. Hopefully we all hear something VERY soon...I am about to have a heart attack soon too. All I do is check e-cas, and ask my hubby 417 times a day to check his email, or regular mail for possible news from Buffalo...we even sent a case specific enquiry, that was replied to in less than 24 business hours, basically telling us to wait and piss off...blah...

today is a bad day...tomorrow you will feel better. i know the ups and downs..

I don't know if it helps but here are some quotes I thought might help during a down day. Quotes seem to inspire me and keep me motivated and spirits high. Hope it helps in some small way and hope you feel better through this soon.

"Missing someone gets easier every day because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will."

"For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice"

"Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough..."

"Distance means so little when someone means so much."

Here is the site for more quotes: http://www.lovingfromadistance.com/quotes.html
Also, look up "positive thinking" quotes as they seem to be inspiring for lots of situations. :)

Love those quotes and that site!

Btw, finally saw that stupid movie with Drew Barrymore "Going the distance", although it was really funny...wow...they really dont know what a REAL LDR is! Same country? 5 hour flight in between them? 3 hours difference in timezone? What a joke!!!

I am actually lucky that my love is only 2 hours difference in timezones! But as for the rest! Im sure people here could do a better story and a great movie too!

@ leroadrunner

I love Drew Barrymore, but I gotta agree with you about the movie... hahahah five-hour flight and three-hour timezone difference, a joke indeed! Try 33-hour flight (including transits) and a 14-hour timezone difference... and I'm sure others have bigger numbers than that, too. LOL.

@ Love_Young

Love those quotes. Thanks for sharing!

Yaya, everyone has downs and I hardly imagine one can go through this process without having thousands. Tomorrow will be another day and I wish with all my heart for all of you who is separated now to look back one day and see only the bright side- that your spouses got their PRs and you could start your lives together.

Be strong... A brighter day will come :)

Here's a quote I live by day by day..

Be strong now, 'cause things will get better. It may be stormy now, But it can't rain forever :-*

Yaya
I hear you, im sure 100% of people on this forum can completely understand and empathise with the situation. Some days I find it such a cruel process, wouldnt it be easier if they just sent out a letter saying your application will be completed by x date? We were in the same situation, so i came to canada as a visitor for 6 months as I couldnt bear the seperation. Is this something you could consider?

basita!! checking up the email every day is not good for ur state of mind...try to do something to make u busy: learn a new language, some hobby, new stuff for ur work, take some online courses, anything which takes ur mind away for a few hours... what i used to do also was preparing personalized gifts for my sweetheart and send it by post or email

also think that u will be not staying with ur friends/family much longer (soon u will go to Canada) so spend time with them :)

guys this process is nt only cruel but it sends dead sentence every single second
and iam one of those recipients of cic's dead sentance
look the timeline of nairobi visa office{29 months for 80 % } and you will lose all ur hope of getting ur partner
it's one and the only visa office in this planet that takes a simple spouse visa for more than three years
how do they think we can survive with out our loved ones in that time
my hubby is still waiting 2 see his new born baby{he has some pics but he didnt met him in person}
and have 2 wait till april 2 see him {as iam not prepared 2 visit him till april}
ooh god help us
i don't have any word 2 express how am feeling
hope 2 hear some good news or ............................. disaster

Sneaak in like all the Mexicans and terrorists do. Seems like the good people who try to do it legally get screwed and it is so not fair that married, fianced or other couples are being kept apart. Canada says they are "family oriented" From what I have been reading here, it sure doesn't seem like it. So sorry that everyone has to be apart from their loved ones. Someone should make a movie about that!
