My wife landed at the Peace Arch border yesterday and then I took her to the nearest Service Canada. However, the agent could not find her data in the system.

Today she went to the Service Canada again but still no data shown from their system. Is it normal? Last year when I landed at YVR I could get my SIN the next day.

Does it help if we call CIC? Or should we call CBSA?
 
That is very unusual. I did a landing last week and got SIN the next day. Call CIC first and see if they can pull up her current status. If CIC says it's all good then the ball's on Service Canada's court.
 
Maybe they did not process her information correctly at the border. You can go to your nearest CBSA office and they can fix that for you. Same thing happened to my brother and the officer was able to fix it in less than 5 minutes.
 
My wife got her SIN literally 5 minutes after her landing (there is a Service Canada kiosk for SIN numbers right across the room where she did her landing at YYZ).
