Cancelling lawfirm engaged for PR

Hello there,

I am a resident in Ontario working on a work permit.

I recently submitted a PR application after engaging a lawyer.

It has not yet been picked up in the draw, though i do expect it to be soon as my one year of Canadian experience will kick in soon.

Is it too late for me to withdraw the retainer with my lawyer and take over the application myself. I think I have all the documents in place to do that.

I would appreciate any help on this matter!

You need to see what your contract is with your lawyer. What payments did you agree to if you decide to withdraw.
