Cancellation Refugee Status

Hey everyone my status in canada is refugee and parents claimed me for this status at age 17 soon im turning 18 and wannt to cancel it and be a normal tourist vistor in Canada,
whats gonna happen if im gonna cancell the refugee status and go see imigration or embasy. The most importand thing is that i wannt still to come visit Canada. Is it at all possible?

Unfortunately you're likely going to have problems getting a tourist visa approved. To be approved for a tourist visa, you must prove you have strong ties to your home country and have no plans to remain in Canada long term. Due to your family's refugee claim, this is going to be difficult for you to prove.

I'm assuming you're in Canada now. If you are and you cancel your refugee claim then you will have to leave Canada and return home. (you won't be able to change your status to a tourist visa from within Canada). If you don't leave Canada, CIC will issue a deportation order against you and eventually remove you from the country.

thats the worst scenario that could happen so assumuing your anwser im gonna kinda deported back to my country.
