canceling gic after visa

Hi, i am currently in Canada, came here for Jan'15 batch but not i am going back home due to personal reasons. i have question about getting my GIC money back from ScotiaBank. Can anyone tell me the exact procedure. Please help if someone knows.

You can redeem GIC only if you can show proof of withdrawal from school. And, that includes letter from school.

Thanks for your help but on scotia bank website it says we need to submit cancelled study permit. What is the process for that

You can not cancel your SP by 'choice' except you violate rules and get in trouble with CBSA/police.

GIC refund work only if;

1. your visa application has been refused/cancelled.
2. you withdraw from school, must show a letter of withdrawal.
3. No admission in school.
