Cancel intent to sponsor in 2017

Friends,

I filled the intent to sponsor form a few weeks ago without understanding that I will need minimum income in 2013, 2014 and 2015. I have income requirements in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Therefore, I would like to prevent entering the ramdom selection on the 1st of February. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

As far as I am aware, there is no mechanism to do this. However, the odds of you being chosen anyway are, at last unsubstantiated reports, about 1 in 180, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If you get selected in the lottery, you took the spot of someone who probably did qualify. Bad karma.
