Most people here have applied on their own without the help of an agent.

Make sure you carefully review all of the information, documents and details that the agent is going to submit on your behalf to ensure there are no errors. If there are any errors that create problems for your application, you will be held responsible by IRCC (not the agent).

Thanks for info,
If I had to apply for a Canadian Visa by myself, where can I get the info on what kind of Visa shall I apply for, how to start the procedures etc..? How to know If I am eligible or not?

Also, please note that there is a difference in agent/consultants versus immigration lawyer. In most cases the later one is beneficial.
