I am a Canadian citizen currently living in the US. I am looking to move back to Canada but I am with an American partner. My main question is can I sponsor them outside of Canada? Can I file in the US? OR, do I need to move back to Canada and sponsor them from there? We are not married, but will be soon, waiting to apply after we get married.
They have tried getting jobs, but without work sponsorship, it is very hard to get a work permit, no one seems to want to wait for that process. (employer wise)
Anyway, any help would be must appreciated. Once we are married, can I sponsor them from within the US (both of us living together in the US)? Or do I need to move to Canada first, them start the application?
