I am currently a Canadian PR Holder who for the last year has been living in the UK for work purposes and will be working one more year here in the UK before looking to move back to Canada Full time.
In the last 5 years, 4 of these were spent in Canada so I am eligible to renew and my pr card expires in JULY 2023. I was wondering what my options are as it states I need a Canadian address to renew it. If I was to go back for 3 weeks and stay with family, could I use their address as a mailing address to renew? Does anyone have advice on what options I have? I also do not mind going back for a month if I have to or putting a family member's address down.
Any advice is appreciated. How long do Permanent resident travel documents last, if I stay for longer, say, just over a year, can I still get one of these documents after my PR Card has expired?
