Hello Everyone,

I am new here so I really would appreciate getting some info/help -- it's been very helpful reading the forum, but I thought I would straight out ask about my situation and what I can expect.

I am a Canadian citizen - been living in Cairo, Egypt since February 2007. Visit my family back in Canada constantly.
Started working in Cairo since 2007. Got married in 2010 to the love of my life - an Egyptian.

I travel to Canada every summer to see my mother who is very ill, and for the first time, applied for a visitor visa for my husband to come and visit for two weeks, ( and no kidding, really was just a visit). This was last year.
After ten days, Embassy rejected his application citing 'travel history' and 'no proof that he would sever ties to Canada once he came'.
I was shocked. I really was not planning on moving there, I just wanted him to see the place I grew up in.

Now, this year, I plan on going again to see my mother. I really want my husband to be able to come, and sincerely, have DONE EVERYTHING in my power to complain to the embassy, to the consulate, to pretty much everyone about WHY he was rejected.

If I had wanted to move back with him, I would have just began the sponsership process -- I was wishing he would receive a multiple entry visa to come and go as he pleased with me in the summer, --we provided his employment records and mine and our lease to show that we do not intend to go back--and still he was rejected.

Is there a chance that I can apply for this visa this summer and he would get it? What can I do to show Canada that I only want him there for visit me on and off and my family? I also have a home there that my brother and I have bought together, my mom even sent an invitation letter and nothing..

I m thinking i should just start the sponsership, but truly, just want to get a visa and then think seriously about that later, I need him with me this summer since I stay with my mother for two months.

Can anyone please tell me what to do??? :(
