I was interacting with a US based recruiter about my plan to move to canada as immigrant .This is what she told me.

"Before you even pack one box to move to Canada make sure your going to be able to find a position there first! As an immigrant your work visa will not grant you the same availability to hiring as a citizen until your fully qualified as a Canadian citizen!

Canada has some of the strictest laws regarding the hiring of immigrants and non Canadians. They have oversight committees in every province to assure "

No, only in employment with the Federal Gov't a Canadian citizen has preference.
