Hi All,

This is meant to be a hypothetical question.

As Canada has many multinational corporations (MNC) operating world-wide, they employ people all over the world. If somebody happens to be working in such a Canadian organization in a different country for more than a year can't his/her experience be regarded as Canadian?

This is a question open to all. Please input. :-)

Thanks.

Re: Canadian Experience ouside Canada

Ha ha ha, No my friend, I'am afraid not. It does not work that way.... Nice try though :)

Well it can not be considered as Canadian experience.

In our case, my husband has worked for a Montreal based Canadian company for more than 2 years, even though he used to get paid his monthly salary directly from the Canadian firm but still it can not be considered as Canadian experience.

Hmmm, enlightened.

Rajnik, did your husband try to use 2 years as Canadian experience and then face rejection? Perhaps the experience is not considered Canadian but may it not be helpful in getting a job in Canada?

It can be helpful to get a job in Canada if you have on your CV that you worked for a company that the employer recognizes. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Canadian company but a well known multi-national company would be good.

Well my husband never got rejected but I know very well his experience can not be used for Canadian immigration, atleast not as Canadian experience class.
