Hello everyone,
Sunil here,
Currently I am working more than 60 hours per week under skill level B so if I work continuously for 6 months or more than 6 months say 8 months and it will be more than 1560hours before I complete a year in a company or two companies will that be considered for the PR under Canadian experience class for the express entry. I mean am I eligible to apply for PR as I completed 1560hours under skill level B. In between I will get lay offs say for about two weeks in that case will they take average of working hours. Please let me know

thank you

You must work for 52 weeks as well as meeting the 1560 hour requirement in order to qualify under CEC. You cannot qualify with just 8 months of work experience. You need a full 12 months.

If I work 52 weeks but what if I couldn’t able to cover 1560hours.? Sometimes I will get lay off but still employed by the company. As I work in construction industry due to weather conditions or for some other reasons the work will get abandoned for a week or more sometimes. In that case what will they do. Just for example if I work 3 weeks in a month and got one week lay off due to some reasons but I worked 180hours in 3 weeks will it be considered as a month full time and take average for a month like 180hours/4weeks = 45hours per week.

From the website:
Your experience must be at least:
  • One year of full-time work
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours), or
  • equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
    • 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.

We don’t count any hours you work above 30 hours/week.
Note the last line. You can only count 30 hours a week. Therefore, you need at least 12 full months of experience, even if you hit 1560 hours earlier.

hi I currently received ITA but I had one week and 3 days of paid sick leave due to an on the job accident. Does this week and 3 days count towards my CEC experience?

You could raise a webform, but when in doubt, it's best to decline the ITA and wait until you have enough hours. You should get another one on or about July 9.
