Hi everyone,
I have a question related to my options to immigrate to Canada hoping some of you could provide some insights based on your experience and knowledge.
I am currently living and working in Toronto and planning to apply my landed immigrant status. I have two options, either apply under Canadian experience class or have my wife (a Canadian citizen) to sponsor me. I don't mind either, but I would prefer the faster way to obtain the landed immigrant status.
I was researching online (Immigration Canada) and base on the information provided online it seems that the Canadian experience class will take about 15mths while the inland application for sponsorship would take 11mths for assessment for both sponsor and applicant and another 8 for medical and background check, so totalling 19th. Does it mean the canadian experience class is faster? My initial thought is that the sponsorship approach would be faster than other options. Were there any changes made by immigration Canada to give favourable treatment to Canadian experience class and federal skilled workers so that sponsorship applications are delayed?
I will really appreciate any insights from you.
