VISA ISSUED...
10-12-2013
Hello Everyone,

Firstly, let me start by thanking CanadaVisa for starting this Forum, A forum where potential students can share, clarify and ask questions. It is a lot better to get information from a student than a consultant who will only give the options which will benefit their consultancy.

Just like everyone of you, I too have a desire to go to Canada and get an international degree. Having said that there is a constant fear of some unanswered questions before leaving your home country.

Here are some of the questions:
1. Is my college better than the others (Ratings)?
2. Are campus jobs easily available? Do we need to apply for these jobs in advance (While you are in your home country)?
3. I will be applying for my Visa by 21 Nov, is it too late?
4. Is it better to apply in a General category or through SPP for Visas?
5. Is it ok to pay just the one semester fees or the entire tuition fess to get a favorable response for Visa?
6. Is it safe to book the airticket in advance even before getting the Visa, As fares are going sky high? I found a deal online with EgyptAir where the ticket is the lowest compared to other airlines however there is a lay over time of 13hrs, Is it recommendable to go for such a deal?
7. I have referred to Kijiji Canada for accomodation related needs however is it safe to first live with a friend or in a hotel initially before freezing on a place to stay?

I hope i have not bombarded this forum with questions/

College - Niagara College (NOTL Campus)
Program - International Business Management
Intake - Jan 14

1. College ranking for ontario. http://oncampus.macleans.ca/education/tag/ontario-college-ranking/

2. Campus jobs are hard to come by. You cannot apply for these in advance as you need a valid study permit to apply for them.

3. No, it's not too late, the last date to file for winter intake is before 1 december.

4. SPP is recommended for first time applicants as it involves less paper work and faster processing if your college is under SPP.

5. One year fees is recommended to make case financially stronger.

6. Booking the ticket before visa is entirely your decision, if you are okay with cancellation fees if you get a visa denial.

7. I dont know what kijiji is. Also, this is up to you where you want to live, whether with friends/family or independently.

6. the ticket cancellation charges can go as high as 10,000 or even more

7. kijiji is similar to our sulekha.com,where we can find rentals, part time jobs and pretty much all things

Thank you for your valuable inputs twentyone and swati.life. I really appreciate it.

I have paid both the college fees and GIC, recieved college fee receipt and awaiting GIC certificate. I've been told that the last date to apply for Visa through SPP is 1st Dec 13.
