Hello.

My husband and I are both Canadian citizens and are living in the US with F-1/F-2 visas.
If our baby is born in the US during our stay, will the baby have dual citizenship?
Also, does anyone know if the parents can also obtain visa/greencard from the United States if the baby has American citizenship?

Thank you.

Yes - the baby will have dual citizenship.

No - you can't obtain a US visa or greedcard by virtue of having a baby with American citizenship. Once the child is an adult and meets certain other critieria (e.g. income, US residency) - he/she will be able to sponsor you for a green card. But you're still a good 20 years away from that being reality.

You have to wait until your son becomes 21.
