I am a permanent resident and noticed that in many residency and citizenship applications, if one stays outside Canada for more than 183 days or more. Now my question is that does this 183 days has to be in one row? Meaning, lets say if I stay out of Canada for 180 days and return back to Canada for a week or so and then go back again for 180 days, then do I still require PCC ?

Thanks.

Pretty sure it's 183 days in a colander year. So a week in Canada isn't going to change the fact your usual residence is outside of Canada.
