Ive tried researching what to do for quite some time with no results so ive come here hoping someone could help me out?

Iam a canadian citizen who moved here as a minor and had no SIN. Therefore im currently 20 now and still dont have one, meaning i cant work or go to school in the USA. Im planning to move home in a few months. But ive lost my original Birth Certificate. I have a photocopy. Im not sure of how to get a new one or if that is needed for the process? And after that is figured out what do i need to do to be able to be allowed back in Canada? IM wanting to stay in Canada after that-permanently. I have been in the US since i was 10. Im just not sure what i need to do in order to make this all happen :( I just know its time for me to move home. Can anybody help???

1. Apply to the vital statistics in the province where you were born for a copy of the birth certificate.

Thank you for that information but i dont have any of the ID required to file for a new Birth Certificate because im not able to get a license/drive, work, go to school here in the USA without having a SIN :( What to do? :(

Do you have a passport?

No i do not. The way by which i originally came to be here didnt require one :( And i have no photo id because i cant get one without a SIN which i dont have either.

Can your parent request a copy of your birth certificate?

One parent i havent had contact with in almost 8 years. And the other is deceased. Ive lived with my brother and his wife since i was 11. They were my legal guardians. Would they be able to request it?
