Hi

I asked this question under the topic of 'financial and taxes' and have had no response......perhaps the board is more active here and someone can advise me...

Is it possible to open a Canadian Bank Account from the UK, and does anyone have an opinion if this would be a good thing to do during preparations?

Thanks

I asked in HSBC and they told me that if ur balance is big u will be able to deal with our branch in Canada, they mean u can deal with their branch in Canada exactly the same way u r dealing with the branch in ur country where u opened the account,

double check this and let's update each other,

What you need is a Premier Account with HSBC. This will enable you to operate, via the so called "Global View", all your accounts over the Internet - Online Banking(anywhere in the world). However, the pre-requisite is first to open a Premier Account in any one country.

The international banks that caters online banking and can transfer your CADs from account to account of the same client. Open an account in your home country then open another in your destination country. Have them both enrolled in online banking facility that can transfer CADs without the need for host-to-host transfers.

HSBC, Citibank, ABN AMRO, Bank of America, ING and Deustche Bank. Try asking these banks on your home country if they have online banking facility and has branches in Canada.

I know quite a lot of online banking stuff as i was once a bank administrator for a multinational company but only handled Asia, Middle East and South Americas.
