I applied for a visit visa with my wife and son to visit my three brothers, who are citizens of Canada, on November 27, 2023. While my wife and son have received their visas, my application is still under background check. I am concerned about the delay in processing my application.

I have a 5-year multiple visa for the UAE and have never been involved in any wrongdoing. My business has also received a government award in Bangladesh. After five days, I applied for my other brother with his wife and two sons; all of them got visas after my wife and son received there visas. I am confused as to why my application is taking longer than the others. I have never stayed in any country longer than the visa expiration date and have done nothing wrong in my life, as far as I know.

I have a visit visa interview in the USA next month and am worried about the status of my visa. I would appreciate any information you can provide.

Thank you

This forum is not connected in any way with IRCC. Nobody here can tell you what’s the status of your application. Try contacting IRCC.

Each applicant is considered individually. It is not uncommon for applications to taken a few months to be processed. The fact that your other brother applied for a TRV with his family after you could make getting a TRV more difficult. Are your parents alive and if so where are they located and do they have status in Canada? Do you have other siblings or just one other one who also remains in Bangladesh? Have you travelled internationally especially to countries like the US, UK, Australia, etc.? Have you ever applied to work or study abroad or attempted to immigrate? Due to backlogs IRCC has been approving some TRV applications without typical processing which is why the rest of your family and your brother’s family may have received approval very quickly. Given your strong ties to Canada it would be fairly typical to require manual processing which typically takes multiple months. The rest of your family may have gotten lucky while your application is going through normal processing. It may take a month to get a reply from a webform you send IRCC and you will likely be told to be patient so there is not much you can do. You should send in the webform but would not expect a reply for quite some time. Hopefully you will receive a reponse to your TRV application while waiting for your webform response. How long had you asked to visit and what was the reason for the visit? The fact that your application is undergoing processing should not impact your US visa application.

I have studied at Thailand. Last 24 year I've visited there every year. I did visited many countries in Asia, My mom and dad are US citizens. My dad died in 2021, and after that, my mother stay with us in Bangladesh. My two sisters are also US citizens. My sister applied F4 immigration for me. Fact is it's not in our blood to stay other countries iligali cause if we want we can invest and applied the that country as investor. But if I ever want to live anywhere in the world I would love to stay in Bangkok. For me Bangkok is the best place on earth.
