I sent my passport along with other document to the Detroit Canadian consulate
On 6th of August, 2012. It reached the consulate on the 7th of August at 9.30AM.
I emailed them on 24th of August since it was the 14th day of processing which was
a Friday. They then emailed me back on Monday which was 27th stating that the
Passport was mailed to my address on the 16th of August.
So as if today it had already been 11 days since they mailed my passport
, which got me worried and I called the USPS the same day and they filed
a case and told me to wait for a call in 24 hrs. All of this happened on the
27th August.
On 28th after waiting for the call from the post office 4.00 I called the USPS and they
Asked me to wait till 5.00PM that days. Later when I checked my email, I had received yet
another email from the Canadian consulate stations that when they first sent my Passport
via priority mail it was delivered back to them so as it was undelivetable due to postage issue.
And they were going to resend the passport via regular mail by the end of that business day which
Was the 28th of August( Tuesday). I called the USPS and they took my last name and my address
and told me they would keep a lookout for it. It's been 3 days and I still have not recEived my passport. And
When I called back on 31st August which is th Friday, she said that the regular mail would take about 2-5 days to come.
I am really worried for my passport not sure what else I could do.
