Extremely disappointing.. I was to submit my application in a few weeks.. Will I still get BIL if VACs are closed? If this is possible then maybe biometrics can be submitted elsewhere

In addition to this, Passport services will remain suspended until further notice. If you have paid the 2-way courier service but have not yet submitted your passport, please hold on to it until services resume. If you have submitted your passport, it is in the process of being returned to you.

Previously people traveled to Dubai and Nepal to complete biometrics when they couldn't do it in India. I don't know if this is still an option and if flights are available.

yeah I think you will receive the BIL regardless. not sure about second part tho.

i think they will go back at this point two 2 stage process. where first they check your eligibility then process your background and medicals

It appears as though this closure will be a long one- because they’re returning passports that are submitted but not processed. Previously , they said passports would be returned when services resumed

that is gonna impact many here, I just hope the cases here get less fast and they reopen it soon.

Absolutely, I want it to open as well.. however in 2020 they only opened the centres in November, after cases had dipped to half the number of peak cases and a few months after all other countries opened their VACs

If it does, I would be delighted.. however, I said what I said because they're returning the passports they have with them , when previously they said these passports would be returned when services resumed..
