As per crs calculator in 2019, there are points if there is a valid job offer/offer letter at the time of getting PR. However, can I still claim those additional points, if currently working on a Work Permit, for the same employer for past 1 year in Canada with a valid job offer (by the time completing 1 year of work experience in Canada, job offer will be expired/expiring soon) and more than 10 years outside Canada for the same employer.
Scenario:
- Came to Canada on a Work Permit, for the same employer, holding 18 months of job offer.
- Completing 1 year of work experience in Canada, in order to claim points in that category.
- By the time completing first year of work experience, job offer will get expired in another 6 months.
- Employer has denied to renew the job offer.
- Neither any letter which will state, they are ready to hire me for 1 year starting from PR issue date.
- Nor any letter with my current job role and responsibilities.
Query:
Can I still claim job offer points as per above scenario?
Thanks in advance for any concrete help on this one.
