Statistics Canada is reporting that the GDP has decreased. There are two important facts here.

1. Oil and gas sector is in slump -- as evident from the low gas prices at the pump -- shrinking economy in these areas
2. Other sectors have actually seen growth.

Just wanted to bring this up since it will likely have ramifications towards the immigration policy in future.

my opinion is that economic predictions are more or less like weather prediction ...

If the economy does deteriorate then I would imagine that will be bad for economic immigration.
