Hi Guys,

Please help me thgough this. As i am new to this topic.

1. Being h1b visa holder. Is it better to apply for province's immigrant nominee program or the fedral program.
2. Generally how much time for processing does it take.
3. If i get a PR to canada, for much period should i stay in canada for my first visit.

Please advise me thorught this.

Thanks

1. If you qualify for the H1B program in Alberta, that is the fastest way to get in. The federal skilled worker program is currently waiting for new rules. See http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/campaigns/h1b.html for the Alberta program.

2. There is a thread about this program in AB, see http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/strategic-recruitment-stream-alberta-pnp-t9132.0.html

3. You don't get a PR to visit, you get it to immigrate. If you don't live in Canada at least 2 out of every 5 years, you lose it again. If it is not good for you to move right away when you get your PR visa, you can come and stay for a month to 6 weeks while you wait for your PR card to be mailed to you, then leave again and take care of your stuff.
