Dear All,

Hope you are doing great.

I have a query, it would be appreciated if anyone can advise.

A friend of mine is a Government servant in Pakistan. He wants to start the migration process.

1. Is there any separate category for such class of people, applying for migration? If yes,what's that category?
2. Is it fruitful to mention Government servant? Any complexities that may come up while declaring as Govt. employee throughout the process?

  1. There is no separate class for government employees.
  2. Your friend will have to mention he is a government employee in the application. It’s not a choice whether to mention it or not.....it’s a requirement. It won’t provide any advantage and may in fact delay processing depending on which government department he is involved in as there may be additional background checks run by various departments involved in the application process (police and military seem to require additional background checks and there may be others as well).
