Canada Certificate of Identity (grey passport)

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had a recent experience travelling with a Certificate of Identity?

I have a trip booked for June this year and the final destination country told me they accept it, but I’m transiting through Turkey (just a layover not leaving the airport) and the airline tells me to check with the Embassy and the Embassy tells me to check with the airline so not sure what to do.

Also, do you know if the US accepts this document?
