My extended study permit is set to expire on November 30, 2024, and my PhD thesis is currently under examination. I’m expecting to receive my results by October 10, 2024. If there are delays and I don’t get my results before November 30, 2024, would it be advisable to apply for a study permit extension now?

If I apply for the extension and my program finishes after my current permit expires but before I get a decision on the extension, is it okay to wait for the outcome of the study permit application before applying for the PGWP? I want to ensure I remain eligible to work after submitting my PGWP application.
