Hey guy :),

I have a question:

Can you submit the medical exam after submitting the family sponsorship application, but before they request it for the year of 2016 applications (Inland Application)?

The reason why I ask is because my wife and I will being going to Ukraine to have an Ukrainian Wedding Ceremony (we already got married in Canada, but her side of the family couldn't attend and it was a really tiny ceremony) and for to visit her Family since its been 3 years since she has seen any of them.

I know that we can do the medical exam in Ukraine, but we would rather do it in Toronto before we leave, simply because the city that we are going to in Ukraine is far from Kiyv and Lviv (places to do the medical exam), and Ukrainian bureaucracy is far worse and corrupt than Toronto, Canada.

And my friend who is sponsoring his Wife just got asked to do it, and he applied a month before us and so far their application has been very consistent with ours in the sense that everything that happened to theirs happened to ours 3 weeks after.

So I am pretty sure they will ask us soon. I would like to do it in Toronto before and then just send it in once requested.

*Note* - My wife has all the necessary Visa(s)/Documents to get back into Canada.

one word answer .. NO! Why? Because they send you a form which is filled out with your info .. it's not available on the net and no one can give you theirs so that you can get started ..

For sponsorship application you have to wait until you receive the IMM1017 form with an IME# to do the medical.

As others have stated, no you should not! You will only be wasting time and money and more likely than not, the physician will not accept you because you have not received the proper form and the panel physician has not be notified by Immigrations Canada. You must wait for the request to complete the medical from when you will have 30 days to do so. In either way, it is better to complete it later given that it will be valid for longer.
