Can you submit a new passport for your visa stamping after your visa application is approved?

Dear All,

If a visitor's visa application is approved and your passport is requested to process your visa, is one allowed to submit a new passport if your current passport used for the visa application will expired by end of 2019?

No. Just send the new passport. If it gives you peace of mind, you may include the old passport and a short letter that you renewed your passport.

Thank you for your thoughts but do you think this will equally affect the duration of the visa that will be issued or that has already be determined.. Am thinking of what is the right thing to do and what is acceptable based on cic regulations and precedence.

I will equally appreciate the thought of those with practical experience or know of any similar situations.
