I’m curious about if I can do it at the same time...
A family under party of 5 and my spouse

Depends if you have the extra funds to sponsor your spouse and be part of a group financially supporting the group of 5 while having your own savings. You also will need to find the rest of your group and secure a sponsorship spot.

Yeah I have 4 other people in the group willing to sponser. I’m wondering if I can have two sponsorships simulatenously happening? One for the refugee family and one for my spouse. They overlap. I ask because on the spousal form, they ask if you have ever sponsored someone for who a final decision has not been made, so I do know it matters. It doesn’t seem as simple as funds.

Yes it is possible as long as you have the savings to support both sponsorships and still have enough savings to support your household. You need to be in a financial position where you have extra savings to sponsor refugees but can support your household if you lose your job for 6 months, need a major repair on your car/home, etc.
