I sent my application in January 2016, and the ORIGINAL OPTION C was required again to prove I was not on any social assistance. I have never heard of this being waived, and I'm going based on the most recent requirement list.
I strongly recommend getting the original Option C regardless, any missed information will delay your application, so you're better to be safe than sorry.
