Sorry about the double thread, but I have a different question! I got my sponsorship approval today, for my outland application.
My husband (US citizen) did not do his medicals before sending in the application. We sent in the application January 24th, and he did his medicals on Feb 27th. We got our Sponsorship Approval today (yay!) with a note saying:

"Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail, fax, or in writing as follows:

CPP Ottawa
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa
NHQ - Centralized Processing Region
219 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1, Canada

E-mail: OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

Fax number: (613) 946-6059

An original Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician or an E-Medical Up-front Medical Notification information sheet has not been provided. Your relative(s) must complete the medical and once completed forward this information directly to the visa office noted above along with a copy of this letter. Your application has been transferred to the visa office noting this deficiency. Your relative must also forward the medical information directly to the visa office (CPP OTTAWA) to allow continued processing of his/her application. Failure to do so will result in delays and possible refusal of your relative’s application."

My question is - we have the receipts from the medical tests. Can we fax them in (I can do it tomorrow/Monday) along with the Sponsorship Approval, or do the originals have to be mailed in? The panel physician said they'll submit them online to CIC, but that might not happen for 2 weeks!

Thanks again!

Yes, you should be able to either fax or email them a copy of the reciepts and then they will know that his medical has been completed. You don't need to send a copy of the sponsor approval, only be sure to include your husbands UCI (if he has one) or the file number which you got with your AOR/SA in the coversheet so they know which application to attach the receipt to.

Thanks! I will fax them in then, much easier. I'm only confused, because it says "...above along with a copy of this letter", which I assume means the SA as it was in the SA? He does not have a UCI yet, but I have mine and my file number.

I see no reason why you can't just fax a copy of your letter along with the receipt and a cover letter with his information ;)

Thanks Alurra, you've been really helpful! I have one silly question, I'm for sure overthinking things. In the letter, it says my relative (aka husband) must send everything in, but can I do it for him, or does it need to come from his email?

No, you can send it in, that will be fine. They say only he should send it in simply because if you try to call to confirm receipt and have not filled out the 'use of representative' form they will give you absolutely NO INFORMATION regarding your husbands file. That is something you will want to keep in mind when you want/need information of where he is in the process. Only he can get that information from this point forward, you are now essentially 'shut out' as the case may be. I know, stupid, but that is how they work it.

Oh okay, thanks! That's okay - I'll just kick his butt and ask him to constantly keep me updated, haha.

You can have him complete and sign a Authorisation to release personal information form (can be found on CIC's website), which you submit each time to request for GCMS notes on his behalf. He can not do this himself, if he is outside Canada.

Oh - he can't submit GCMS notes outside of Canada? Hmm I didn't know that! I'll get him to fill out that authorization form then, thank you!

What I mean is: he can not submit a request for GCMS notes for himself directly while outside Canada, nobody can. He must find someone inside Canada to do it on his behalf.

This is where you come in(assuming you are in Canada) and because you will be requesting the notes on someone else's behalf, CIC needs a signed authorization form to release his notes to you. So you will submit the request under the Access to Information Act, costs $5.

If he was in Canada, he could do himself for free under the Privacy Act. He would not need the authorization.

Haha, thanks! You're answering my questions all over the place :D
