Hey guys

I am not happy with my employer because they are being very unprofessional. I am looking (hoping) to change jobs but my sponser is my employer. I have filed for PR, but haven’t received anything yet. Has anyone had the same problem or have they been sponsored by a company that has folded?

Is there anyway to change employers without screwing up my application? Or because I have already applied do I no longer need their sponsorship?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

If you decide to leave your employer then your PNP nomination application would be declined as one of the requisite is that you have a permanent job offer from your employer.

PNP nomination is not the end of your woes. CIC expects you to continue working with the same employer who nominated you till your PR is approved.

So my friend you are in an unhappy marriage without a divorce at least not until you get your PR.

there is a way around it.

When you get a new job offer submit that to PNP and get your nomination adjusted to reflect the new employer then apply for closed work permit at the border with the new PNP support letter showing your new employer name, CIC will automatically be notified as the changed to nomination are sent to CIC immediately, but then you will need to email cic either way with the new offer.

This is likely delay your process for few months but it is doable. better to be patience with the current one.
